Playing Together
The "Playing Together" session meets from 7.15pm to 9.15pm on the first
and third Mondays of each month.
The venue is the Sports Pavilion in Haughley, on the right after the
King's Head on the road to Bacton. The cost is £2 each
(£1.50 for Suffolk Folk members).
This session was the brainchild of Roy Sloan and came out of the "Come
and Join the Band" workshop at the Suffolk Punch. It is now run by Mike
and Sue Lawrence. The idea is that
rather than a tuition session at a slow pace this would be an
opportunity for people to play together, practice the tunes they know,
pick up some new tunes and for people to offer each other mutual
support. You don't have to have been to the Come and Join the Band
Workshop to go to this one, so give it a look. For further details
